I can make the glass
pictures just like the
pattern pictures ( like
the blue guitar or the
parrot). The Cross I
decided to take my
own liberties.

Left is an 18"X 30" frame that I made from an end
table top that had a hole in it so I stained it, added
some music symbols and varnished over it. This was
my First frame and Glass Project.
The mermaid was from a dream catcher photo that
I got off the net but was so small in pixels that the
picture was blurred.

I did this for my best friend Kevin
Nichols. It was a 12" X 24"creation
of his "Johnson" resonator guitar.
He saw the one of my blue glass
Stratocaster and was so thrilled
at how it came out that he
wanted to buy it right on the
spot! I told him that I would
make him one of his own
instead and boy, he loved it!
He just hung it on his wall using
mirror clips.
Taking pictures of these things
are not easy. They reflect
everything. I found that taking
them outside on a clear day was
the way to go!
This is an 8" X 10" that was inspired by an idea
that my wife's Dad came up with years ago for a
family crest. It was based on "Key over the Ocean"
since their name is pronounced "Key-Ocean".
He explained the premise to me and so I made a
mock up of the picture and when he approved it, I
made it. A beach with the ocean, a key coming
through the clouds and I added the sunrise. He said
it came out better than his expectations!
This 8" X 10" is of course a Denver Bronco Logo.
The mane and head are glass but the border is
blue paint and the eye is orange paint. This is a
good example of " the bigger, the better". If it
were twice the size, the base could be blue glass
under the head and mane and a hole could be
made for the eye in orange glass. Then there
would be no paint at all.
This 4'X 2' piece was inspired by something that a
long time friend explained that he did with his parents
on many different vacations as a child. He said " we'd
take the Scout and Airstream to the sand dunes and
camp."Whenever they'd climb a hill Brendon and his
sister Gail would shout " Git 'em up Scout"! He asked if
I could do something like that for a gift to his parents.
I gave him a mock up, let him pick a color and style of
frame, gave him a price and time of completion and as
they say, "the rest is history"!
